What are applications of Xenon 124 (Xe 124) ?
Xenon-124 (Xe-124) is primarily used as a precursor for producing the medical radioisotopes Iodine-123 (I-123) and Iodine-125 (I-125). I-123 is used in diagnostic procedures for the thyroid, brain, kidneys, and neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s. I-125 is used in the treatment of prostate cancer.
